Six Flags, one of the greatest amusement parks, has announced a major transformation of the boardwalk march park opening. The park opens up in the late spring of this year. In the renovations, the new rides are inspired by the electricity nostalgia and unmistaken charm of New Jersey’s seaside piers. This immersive new experience brings together family friendly attractions, classic board walk flavors and dynamic coastal atmosphere pulsing with color, motion and energy.
The excitement continues as Six Flags Great Adventure launches its 2026 season. Passholder Preview Night takes place March 27th from 5 pm to 9 pm, offering early access to select rides and experiences. Opening Day follows on March 28th, alongside the debut of the Safari Spring Break Celebration, running select dates through April 12th. This seasonal event brings wildlife experiences into the park with animal encounters, live entertainment, interactive activities and themed photo opportunities.
Earlier this season, the shoreline pier had captured the feeling of a summer night down the shore with music drifting across the midway, lights, and dancing through the rides spinning against the skyline. It is a key part of the park’s multi-year growth and sets the tone for a season full of momentum. Other new rides that will be coming are Barrels’ fun, Flying Scooters, Wave Swinger, Hypno Twister, Superround Up and more.
Super round up is a high energy that sends riders spinning at accelerating speeds as the platform rises. There will also be shopping areas and snack bars at the shoreline pier including the classic corn dogs, gabagool on a stick with hot honey and more. This gives the park a more family and friendly experience and more opportunities for little kids and families.
