The Boys, a show going on for 7 years, has ended, and people have mixed feelings. The Boys, which was made by Eric Krike for Amazon Prime video, is an American satirical superhero television series based on a comic book series made by Garth Ennis and Derick Robertson. It follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals called ‘’supes’’ who often abuse their powers for personal gain and work for a powerful company called vought international. That ensures the general public views them as “heros.” The story focuses on Hughie Campbell and Billy Butcher, who work together to bring down international.
In the first season, the girlfriend of Hughie Campbell is accidentally killed by A-train, who is a part of Bought International and one of the seven who lead the Vought International. Later in the season, Hughie meets Billy Butcher, who despises all superpowered beings. Hughie ends up joining Billy’s team, called “The Boys,’’ in hopes of avenging his loved one. In September 2020, 1 year after the first season, the second season premiered, with the 3rd season following on June 3, 2022, and 2-years later, on June 13, 2024, the 4th season came out and later in May, the 5th and final season came out.
For the last 4 seasons, The Boys have been fighting to overthrow or get rid of the seven, breaking them apart, and, in the final season, the seven’s true colors are shown to the public, and, in turn, everyone starts to hate the “heroes.” The fans of the show had been waiting for that moment for over 7 years, and some fans have mixed feelings about the final episode, with some people saying the ending felt lazy or rushed. Some people are saying that the ending was perfect for the show and it stuck to the comics.
The actors of the show are sad to see it end, but some are seeing new opportunities. The Boys is a big show. Some movies are already looking for bigger roles for the small actors. Overall, The Boys had a long run, and many people enjoyed it, and people are looking forward to seeing the small-time actors in bigger roles.
