In previous press conferences, President Donald Trump had told Iranians to keep protesting and has also said “help [is] on the way,” making it very clear that he intends to start involvement with the Iranian people. Whether this is a good or bad thing remains unknown; it could lead to the military forces becoming involved, potentially endangering the Iranians and causing more problems than they already have. Donald Trump has said he will also use military action against Tehran. Iranian Patriots keep protesting, and, so far, Trump has shown that he wants to help the Iranians in their protesting efforts.
Recently, he has been making even more of an effort to help, which has led to more speculation; people think Trump wants something out of it just because he’s helping. Some people, especially those in the comments from his recent post on Twitter (now X), have also speculated that he might want something out of his actions, especially since there has been a lot going on in politics lately: Trump most recently wanted to buy Greenland and briefly took over Venezuela, since they currently have no president and because he wants to take some of their oil.
This all leads to the fact that Trump had many other previous conflicts with this exact country, Iran, when Trump attacked them on June 23rd. When this happened, he had also notified Congress of the strikes. He wanted Iran to surrender, but it backfired on him when Iran started to protest. Iran started to protest due to economic inflammation and conflict. As of now, there is still a lot of speculation around where Trump truly stands with Iran and whether he is trying to gain something from his efforts.
