It is challenging to be recognized as a Student of the Month amongst all the hard working and intelligent students at Manville High School, but Emily Sharbaugh has done it. She has set herself apart from her peers and was named the Student of the Month for November 2019. Someone is not worthy of Student of the Month by just joining every club. It takes perseverance and commitment to school work. Emily certainly does this by putting dedication towards her academics. While not a specific goal of hers, Emily is both thankful and honored to be chosen. She says, “it shows all the work I put in with the Honors and AP classes.”

Emily is highly involved in multiple clubs and activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, International Honor Society, Student Council and is both the Co-President of FBLA and Co-Treasurer of the Class of 2020. Even with all these extracurriculars, she says she still finds time to “have a job and spend my free time hanging out with my friends.”

As a senior, Emily is looking to finish her final year of high school strong. After her 2020 graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in audio production. Emily is hoping to “travel the world working with music or movies,” an interest demonstrated by her involvement in the Audio Visual Club. After four years of commitment and unrelenting focus to her school work, Emily Sharbaugh has been given the great honor of being Manville High School’s November Student of the Month.
