Washington floods fill roads and many are without homes. Nonstop rain made the roads unusable and left families on rooftops.

Last week, Washington was put under state of emergency orders. For thousands of residents, the orders caused panic all within the city as highways filled.

“I understand that many in our state are scared but trust me we will have it under control,” said governor Bob Ferguson on social media app X.

The floods have impacted most of the state with bridges being a big problem with water. The major roads are filled with water, and people are leaving everything behind. The main highway, intestate 90, the one to leave the state of Washington, was blocked by a landslide. Photos show cars crushed under trash, branches and mud. Up in Canada things hit the water harder; cities like Sumah, nashsock, and Evason were told to let residents leave. The border cross closed. The Snohomish River in Washington reached nearly a foot, breaking records. The authorities in Washington have started looking for people on top of homes, and helicopters were sent out helping people, but, still, there’s thousands of people out there.
