Travis Lee Turner is now being hunted by the U.S. marshals and the FBI for being in possession of child pornagraphy. Travis is a 46-year old man who was a football coach at Union High School. Travis disappeared on November 20th, 2025, and was reported as a missing person until further investigation, but he is now being hunted for a crime. Nobody has seen or heard from Travis since then, and the FBI and U.S. marshals are still on the hunt for him to arrest him. The police needed the U.S. marshals to help them because they didn’t have a clue where this man might be. The problem with trying to find this guy is that he might be armed with some kind of weapon to defend himself.
In the NBC article it states, “Police and school officials have declined to say whether victims or complaining witnesses against Turner are connected to the Union High, a public school with about 600 students in the far southwest corner of Virginia.” Travis has allegedly done this five times with children, and has been allegedly doing other inappropriate things with children that can get him in jail.
On the other hand, since he has been gone, the Union High School football team has won two playoff games. They captured the Region 2D championship after beating Ridgeview on Saturday 21-14. Now, Union is set to play Glenvar High School in the state semifinals on Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 pm.
It seems that this event has impacted the children that go to the schools and that were involved in the event. This could escalate badly if the police force does not find this man. At this moment, the police have some leads on where he could be, but they are still unsure if they are right or not. In the CNN article it states, “Eleven days earlier, Union High School football coach Travis Turner, believed by his family to have walked out of his home in Appalachia carrying a firearm, disappearing into thick mountainous woods. He hasn’t been seen since.” Before he left, the article says, “Virginia State Police said they were on their way to visit Turner at his home, but when they arrived, the coach was already gone.” There is now a 5,000 dollar reward to anyone who finds the coach and turns him in to the police, but, as of right now, nobody has seen or heard from him since he went into the woods. The parents are now concerned about their children’s safety at the school and want this man found and put in jail for his actions.
