On Nov 26, 2025, Disney released the long awaited and highly anticipated movie Zootopia 2, and it’s taking the box office by storm! With it being released on the beginning of a 5-day Thanksgiving weekend, its growth has reached an all-time high for Disney. As of now, it’s one of the highest grossing movies for Disney. at a total of $158.6 million dollars in the United States alone! It’s right behind Disney’s Moana 2, which reached $224 million dollars last year during Thanksgiving.

Across seas, Zootopia 2 reached up to $401.5 million dollars, totalling up to $559.5 million dollars! Zootopia 2 also achieved one of the Highest Global Animated Openings of all time, at around $559.5 Million dollars, right behind Ne Zha 2 in China, 4th Highest Global opening of all times, along with Avengers: Endgame ($1.2 billion), Avengers: Infinity War ($640.5 Million), and Spider Man: No Way Home ($600.5 Million). Zootopia even reached Highest Global Debut in 2025, above Ne Zha 2, Highest Global Opening for an Animated Movie, above Moana 2, Highest Global Opening for Walt Disney Animation Studios, and even Highest Global Opening In Disney history!

People who watched Zootopia 2 call it a “High stakes, Comedical, and deep adventure for family and friends,” and even lead marketplace director Paul Dergarabedian says that “Disney had made it an event that comes virtually every year over the Thanksgiving holiday,” and that  “Families just embraced Zootopia 2 in such a profound way.” The original Zootopia made a total of 1.02 billion worldwide in 2016, about $341 million in North America, and $75 million on opening week, yet now, Zootopia 2 is crushing Zootopia by storm on opening week. Other famous movies, like Ne Zha 2 and Lilo & Stitch, made a total of $1.9 billion (Ne Zha 2) and $1.88 Billion (Lilo & Stitch), making Zootopia 2 the 4th highest Globally. In Korea, the Zootopia 2 Box office price only grew even more, earning another $25.7 million dollars 12 days after its release. The popularity of Zootopia 2 within other countries helped to improve its growth, with China’s rates giving Zootopia 2 $430 million dollars alone. Yet it also faces some competition from the new Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 movie, whose growth rate is rising along with Zootopia 2. It’s shocking to see that most, if not all, movies on this list are sequels or already big movies.  In total, Zootopia 2’s Box Office records over take any and all of its opponents in a stampede.
