Diddy was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and participate in programs for mental health issues and substance abuse problems. Diddy was previously held in Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY, before getting transferred to prison in New Jersey following his sentencing.
Sebastian Telfair, 39, was once one of the most celebrated high school basketball players in the country, drafted straight out of Lincoln High School in Brooklyn in 2004. Telfair was sentenced to three years probation in 2023. After failing to complete community service and missing scheduled check-ins with probation officers, he surrendered in August 2025, landing him in the same facility as Diddy. During his trial, Combs, who pleaded not guilty to the sex-related felonies, was found not guilty of sex trafficking but guilty on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution.
In a Nov. 13th statement to USA TODAY, Benjamin O’Cone, of the Bureau of Prisons’ Office of Public Affairs, said, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans, timing, or procedures, or whether a particular individual is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions.” A spokesperson for Fort Dix said, “We have no knowledge of this information. Further, we would not be able to disclose any information pertaining to internal inmate matters. It would not be public information. I don’t take that lightly,” he continued, adding that he also wanted to “personally apologize to all the victims of domestic violence.”
Photos obtained last week show Diddy smiling and relaxed, wearing a gray knit cap as he interacts with other inmates at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in South Jersey. Meanwhile, his lawyers have asked a federal appeals court to fast-track a review of his prostitution-related conviction, noting he’s already served 14 months and could qualify for time reductions through treatment and rehabilitation programs.
