Is a new Hello Kitty movie hitting the markets soon?

Hello Kitty was created in 1974 by designer Yuko Shimizu and originally appeared on a coin purse in Japan, and, over the decades, she has evolved from a simple merchandise character into a global icon; for example, she’s been on basically everything, like Merch, movies, games, and anything else you could think of. While there are urban legends that link her to a supposed satanic past, supposed dark symbolism in her design, and an alleged association with negative events, she is such an important matter to so many kids around the world, as well as adults who enjoy kids stuff.

As we all know, Hello Kitty has been around for a long amount of time, and every year this cartoon character gets more popular. This news is exciting because this may be believed to be the first Hello Kitty movie that comes out, being that this would be first time Sanrio has granted film rights for Hello Kitty and her friends. Many people over the years have been obsessed with Hello Kitty; in fact, you can find anything related to Hello Kitty anywhere. This movie will be created by Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and FlynnPictureCo- companies who were known for making movies that have impacted a lot of kids’ childhood. 

It will be directed by Leo Matsuda, written by Dana Fox, and produced by Beau Flynn, with Shelby Thomas overseeing for FlynnPictureCo. The film will likely include other Sanrio characters, such as Gudetama, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars, which are also very popular and known characters in the Hello Kitty world.
