Teen Arts took place on May 18th at Raritan Valley Community College. This event is a showcase in which students can present their artwork and musical talents to the surrounding students who participated in the event. Teens Arts started off with a bang as the Manville High School Jazz band performed at the beginning of the event. They played pieces such as:

  • Jammin with Charlie
  • My Dinner with Ronald
  • Autumn Leaves
  • Last Dance

While being judged, they did not seem to disappoint. Students were then given the ability to explore the campus as a variety of workshops were hosted in a series of places.

A variety of students from Manville High School and Alexander Batcho Intermediate School had submitted some of their own artwork in hopes to get awarded and critiqued on their work. Here are the students that have gotten awarded:

Alexander Batcho Intermediate School

  • Riley Breen, “The Phone Jacket”
  • Luciana Gallo, “The Pretty Button Bag”

Manville High School

  • Mia Hidalgo, “Tree House Adventures”
  • Emely Batista, “4 Years of Serenity”
