Manville Cheerleaders Take on Skylands
October 29, 2021
This week, the Manville Mustang cheerleaders competed at the 2021 Skyland Conference Cheerleading Competition at Phillipsburg, and won fourth in their division! There were 5 teams total in their conference which were Warren Hills, North Hunterdon, Bound Brook, and Delaware Valley. Due to having fewer teams participate than normal, the divisions reflected that making it a challenge for MHS.
After weeks of their hard work, it has finally paid off for the cheerleaders. They may have been nervous, but they all cheered onto the mat with smiles on their faces the whole routine. The entire routine hit, meaning there were no falls. This was also the most advanced skill routine Manville has ever put out for competition. After they performed, everyone was super excited that they hit all of their stunts.
Coaches Stefani Levonaitis and Daniela Degina are extremely proud of all the girls and how they performed for the stands and judges. The Manville cheerleaders are happy to say their routine was a success, and are looking forward to next year’s competition!
