The Mustangs finished out the regular season 5-5, and lost to Somerville in the second round of the Playoffs. Although the Mustangs lost in the second round of the playoffs, they still had a chance to play for third place. But this wasn’t just any game, this was the seniors last game. The last time for Shane Sarathy, Jon Cox, Jason Brennan, and David Faibyan had to end their final high school season with a win.

The game starts with Manville starting where they always start, on the defensive end. By the first quarter the Mustangs were up four points; the score was seventeen to thirteen. By the end of the second quarter the Mustangs were up seven points, the score was twenty four to forty one. Going into halftime the Mustangs had a solid lead and the seniors knew that they were just too much for South Hunterdon to handle. By the end of the third quarter the score was thirty- eight to fifty-fifty, the Mustangs were pulling away with a massive victory.

With 1:30 left in the fourth quarter the clock stops. Jason Brennan then gets subbed out of the game for scoring a nine hundredth point in his high school basketball career. But with their spirits, and mind being game ready, they pulled away with a seventy- six and sixty two victory. A true game for the seniors to remember.
