Sarah Mettee and her husband were on a trip to Dubai to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. Instead, they had seen and heard a lot of missiles, some even outside their own hotel. Sarah Mettee explained, “Some rockets had been intercepted right outside of our hotel.” The couple only wanted to go and celebrate, and to get away from their three young children. They kept booking flights home, but every time they booked a flight, it ended up getting canceled. She was worried that she wouldn’t make it back to her kids for a while, since the airport was closed for 3 days because it was damaged and 4 employees were injured. There are videos and pictures of the flames and smoke in the air. It is very hard for them to get away, just the two of them. Now it will be days before they can even get a flight home. 

The Iran air defense intercepted 165 ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles, launching strikes on several other nations, themselves. Many Americans are getting stuck in Dubai because of all the strikes. The planes getting canceled is making people more and more frustrated because they can’t get home. Other concerns are with the people’s safety; some people are losing their lives or getting badly injured because of the strikes. Many other people struggle to breathe because of the smoke and fires they are causing. 

The internet is blowing up with people talking about how unprepared Iran is and how they will not win the war against the U.S. and Israel. They are also worried about their own safety and how safe they actually are from all the strikes. They already cut off the oil in Iran, so the U.S. can’t get any oil from them, and since they can’t get oil, the inflation is going to go up a lot and gas prices will be way more expensive than they already are. Some places had to tell people that they can only drive on certain days of the week because of how expensive it is; for example, in New Zealand, the gas price is already at 7 dollars.
