The following is a mix of political news and opinion written by a student journalist.
Ukraine’s peace plans are ready to be presented to Russia. In the website, theguardian.com, it says, “U.S says talks with Ukraine in Berlin have resolved 90% of difficult issues.” Based on this information, we know that the United States is saying they resolved conflict with Ukraine, but we still don’t know much about Russia’s plans to resolve their conflict with Ukraine.
Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has stated, “proposals negotiated with U.S. officials on a peace deal to end Russia’s war in Ukraine.” This being said, we know that Ukraine is trying to do everything in their power to make peace with Russia. Some leaders from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and eight other European countries suspect that Russia is up to something suspicious and that whatever they are up to could be terribly dangerous to all, especially if they want more war and battle.
It’s obvious that Ukraine wants to make up with Russia, but since Russia stated in their last talk with the U.S that they didn’t want peace or to be made up, it can most likely be seen as a lost cause. Russia wanted to have a war and fight until the very end, even with the opposing goal of wanting Ukraine’s rights of freedom. It was said that, “In a joint statement that troops from a ‘Coalition of the willing’ could ‘assist in the regeneration of Ukraine’s Forces.’”
With the peace plans ready to be presented to Russia, Ukraine wants to be fully prepared, so if anything went wrong they could be prepared, no matter the case scenario. Ukraine is trying to be safe with their differences, while Russia is set on doing the opposite. In conclusion, today’s news about Ukraine’s peace plan is ready to be presented, after all Ukraine had to go through, and they are planning on making it extremely clear just how much they don’t want any more war or violence.
