Manville High School announced Lucas Velando as April’s Athlete of the Month! Lucas received this award for his excellent skills throughout the wrestling season. When asked how Lucas feels for being given this award, he feels pride. Some of Lucas’s favorite memories from wrestling are defeating Bound Brook, the endless hours spent with his team training, and being around the guys.

Besides making great memories from wrestling, some of Lucas’s favorite memories from his 4 years spent at Manville High School are class competitions, winning Powderpuff, football games, and having home wrestlings matches. After Lucas graduates next month, he plans on attending Muhlenberg College while continuing his wrestling career! Some interesting facts about Lucas are that he likes to go on hikes, is part of a wrestling club, is a part of the FBLA club, lifts weights, and also has an Italian heritage.
