Tragedy struck on Saturday, November 4, when a man drove
under an airplane and proceeded to shoot up in the air. He also
had his four year old daughter in the car, but after an 18 hour
negotiation, the man eventually gave himself up to the police.
It was later discovered that the man was planning to get on the
plane and take his daughter to Turkey due to the pressure of the
lawsuit. As a result of this, over 100 flights were canceled or
diverted to to Hamburg’s other airports, like Hamburg International
Airport, and a Hamburg Military Base.
