On April 26th, the Manville Baseball team took the stage at the Somerset Patriots Stadium to commemorate their big night and honor their seniors. Although the night did not turn out how everyone would’ve hoped, the night left a list of things to appreciate and focus on instead. Playing at a stadium like this for a high school baseball team is a huge deal considering the venue itself, as well as the fact that the stadium is usually reserved for minor league teams or for other special high school games. If a high school does get the chance to play in a place like this it’s for big events like state championships or for a team like ours, senior night. The boys made the most of their night soaking up all the once-in-a-lifetime views and exceptional conditions. The night honored 12 seniors and where each boy plans to continue their academic or athletic career:

  • Joshua Barrios is attending TCNJ and continuing football
  • Nick Bentz is attending RVCC and continuing baseball
  • Tyler Canica attending William Paterson to study finance & political science
  • Elijah Capone is attending RVCC and continuing baseball
  • Logan Klementovicz will be attending a trade school for welding
  • David Kuznetsov will be studying aerospace at Rutgers
  • Geoffrey Mathis is attending ESU, studying exercise science and hopes to play D2 baseball
  • Ethan Mullins is attending Penn State to study accounting
  • Alex Orzol is attending the University of Delaware to study accounting
  • Nick Ringden is attending TCNJ to study business management
  • Douglas Toth is attending the University of Delaware to study finance
  • Michael Vornlocker is attending TCNJ studying exercise science

The Manville baseball team will deeply miss their seniors and appreciate the past 4 years they have contributed to the program. Good luck for the last couple of weeks of their season!
