Manville High School often rewards athletes and students with notable titles, in this case, one for athletes is the athlete of the month. For December, the athlete of the month was senior, Mark Bueno.

Bueno is an accomplished member of the MHS boys soccer team as well as a captain of the team. He is a 3-year long varsity athlete and puts all his energy into soccer entirely. One of Bueno’s favorite moments during the sport is when he assisted Ryan Rodriguez, another senior member of the team, in a 3-1 win against Boundbrook who are known as MHS rivals. He is very dedicated to the sport and has been rewarded for such.

When asked about how he felt about being granted athlete of the month, Bueno says that he was surprised. He states that “I honestly didn’t expect to get it, it’s not something I ever expected to be awarded”. He would also like to thank his coaches and teammates for making him a better player. After MHS, Bueno plans to move onto college soccer.
