Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast+Cancer+Awareness+Month

It’s October, which means Breast Cancer Awareness is here. Every October, people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. People also help to raise funds for research into its cause. They can purchase pink-colored items, and half of the money will be donated to organizations. During the month, you may see a lot of people wearing the color pink. This is because when the Breast Cancer Research Foundation solidified, the pink ribbon became a universal symbol for the disease.

Manville shows their care for Breast Cancer Awareness month in different ways. Some sports may have pink-colored items, such as the cheerleaders having pink poms, socks, and bows. Other sports, such as the  MHS girls soccer team sell their annual Breast cancer T-shirts. Other schools around the country write letters to those who are affected by this cancer and donate to causes. Breast Cancer Awareness month is taken seriously every year, with millions of donations made.
