Manville Track Goes States!!
June 7, 2019
Manville took on Academy Charter, Asbury Park, Bound Brook, Burlington City, College Achieve Charter, Dunnellen, Florence, Henry Hudson, Highland Park, Keyport, Middlesex, New Egypt, Point Pleasant Beach, Riverside, Roselle Park, Shore, South Amboy, South Hunterdon, South River, Spotswood, STEM Charter, and Willingboro in the NJSIAA classifications. The Boys and Girls of our track team represented Manville in this highly anticipated meet.
Nia Hunter shined in this event, racing her way to 6th place on the Prelims, and 8th place on the Finals of the 100 meter run. She fell short on the 200 meter run, but still managed to place 16th. Hunter Eldridge got a respectable 15th place on the 1.6 kg discus throw. Sha’Quana Kelly also got 15th place on the 1 kg discus throw.
Overall, Manville did extremely well, considering this was the state qualifiers! This was the Mustangs last meet of the year, having a great season overall. We definitely have some great potential and the Mustangs will look to destroy the competition, but do it even better next year!
