Senior Assassins; Water Gun Fight

Staff Writer

A highly anticipated senior only game known throughout every High School. In between all senior “send-offs” such as prom, graduation, senior picnic, senior class trip, senior skip day, and class prank, senior assassins is a bit different considering it is run by the class itself. For decades, schools have been playing this game as a tradition in the remaining weeks of school.

The game is played in groups and is set up using a bracket system to see who is the overall winner. Each group is assigned their designated target of another group. Each team plays to win the “lottery pot” which is money put in, in order to actually play. Now, with bigger schools as you can guess, the lottery pot can get much bigger. Some may even rise to a whopping 3 thousand dollars. For smaller schools, the pot can be as little as 400 dollars depending on how many people play. Although the game might be perceived as negative since it does involve water gun shooting, the overall intention is to have fun with your class for a last hoorah before the send off of graduation.
