Vinicius’s goal had an assist from Mbappe with a sleek finish underneath the Girona goalkeeper’s arm. Ancelotti was pleased with the goal, and he celebrated the victory Real Madrid carried through.

“I saw him [Vinicius] at his best,” Ancelotti said. “He could have been more clinical in front of goal, but in the second half he was unstoppable. He played a game at his level. He rose to the occasion and had chances to score.”

Real Madrid stand tied with Classical opponent Barca at 54 points in the league, and they are going head to head to see who wins the La Liga title this season.
