Mikey Williams, a hyped up hooper from Huntersville, North Carolina, has been given a second chance to play in college basketball after his shameful arrest back in 2023.

Mikey Williams is a 5 star recruit out of the class of 2023; he has been given great offers from places like Alabama State, Arizona State, San Diego State, and many more. He was recognized by the highschool basketball world, and he was a promised athlete- even LeBron James had his eyes on him and what his decision was going to be. Mikey Williams had chosen to go to the Division 1 university of Memphis State, but unfortunately, his dreams had been crushed after an incident over at his house.

Back in March 27, 2023, Mikey Williams had gotten into an altercation with him firing a gun towards a car of people that came up to his house, fortunately injuring no one. The young hooper was going to have possible decades of prison time for many charges and felonies, but pleaded guilty and won over the judges mercy. His punishment had been reduced to a year in summary probation, 80 hours of community service and 10 years of no ability to own a firearm. This arrest had closed down basically every single offer he received, including the college Mikey was going to attend. Everyone thought his career had ended here, and there was no point of return.

This arrest had been heard around the whole basketball world, and it seemed like he would never come back… until the coach of University Of Central Florida and all time scoring leader of Duke University had reviewed his resume and saw his statistics; he wanted to give him a second chance. Dawkins had said that Williams needed a second chance and knows how good he will be and how he can progress, so he signed him to U.C.F.

Mikey Williams’ debut game was on October 21, 2024 playing as a freshman for U.C.F.
