Mortal Kombat 1 has been an amazing game so far. With the addition of classic characters like Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, and Baraka, the game has not disappointed their fans. Not only this, but they also have fun and cool characters, like Johnny Cage. All of the characters are all at different levels of strength, like Omni-Man and Homelander. This factor gives the game lots of variety, including their several different game modes, like towers, the story mode, and invasions. Surprisingly, they are also going to release an amazing DLC.
To illuminate, Mortal Kombat 1 has had really good DLC so far. Characters like Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander have been added as characters. Those two characters are loved by many and have lots of fans. Additionally, they also brought back lots of original characters, like Quan Chi and Takeda. With a wide variety of characters spanning from original characters to collaborations, the DLC has been supported, and many fans have enjoyed playing these characters. The DLC is also being loved because of it mainly having Omni-Man and Homelander. To elucidate, it has been a very long debate on who would win between the two. This is due to them both being very similar in powers and insanely strong. With a big debate like this, it was a very smart idea for Warner Brothers Productions to let players settle the debate in the game.
In addition, the game has also shown the characters for Kombat Pack 2. These characters consist of new characters like Ghostface and Conan the Barbarian. This was shocking, as Conan the Barbarian was a random but good pick, and Ghostface was an amazing pick because lots of people have wanted him in a Mortal Kombat game for the longest time. There are going to be other new characters, like a female Sektor and a female Cyrax. New characters like these allow for people to enjoy the new stuff in the game and have new experiences. Another major character they are adding is T-1000. This is surprising, as there has already been a character from Terminator in the past. Warner Brothers adding another person from Terminator was not expected, to say the least.
But, be that as it may, the game isn’t performing as well as it was when it was released. For example, when released, Mortal Kombat 1 peaked at around 25,000 people playing. Now, however, the game peaks at around 5,000 people or less. The reason for this would most likely be due to the fact that it is a lot slower than the past games. To add on, a lot of the characters were very unbalanced at the release of the game. Due to the most likely long amount of time it took for them to patch some of the characters, that is most likely why most of the fans left. This could turn around, though, as the new Kombat Pack 2 that is arriving may make people come back to the game. A horror icon like Ghostface and an old but gold character like Conan the Barbarian is an odd matchup in one pack, but it sure will occupy many fans with their fun gameplay.
Mortal Kombat 1 was shown to be resilient. Fighting through everyone’s mixed opinions on the game, they have surprisingly been able to bring themselves back to being relevant. It can be expected that they may reach near their peak players that they used to have. Random characters being added like this makes it even more fun, as you never know what to expect from the game franchise. So far, people are already enjoying playing the new Noob Saibot in the game, so the characters being added are guaranteed to allow the game to thrive. Therefore, Mortal Kombat 1 is most likely to thrive in players and fans due to the new Kombat pack being released, featuring fan favorites like Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and T-1000.
