Recently, the US formed an alliance with Israel to help protect them. But Israel wants to do a full on attack on Rafah. They asked for the USA’s help in providing weapons and artillery shells, but Biden opted against this.
Biden understands that the million civilians that were sheltering there have been killed. They were decimated by the very same bombs the US had been supplying. We have been sending a lot of military aid to Israel already, which worsened and accelerated the aftermath of “Hamas’ Oct. 7 Attack”; this is when Hamas terrorists killed more than 1,200 Israelis and 250 being held captive. Biden helping them previously seemed to make the outcomes worse, so he decided to pause the shipments of bombs to Israel.
According to Biden, Israel’s actions have not crossed the red lines to overstep. He also repeated that Israel has to do far more to protect the Gaza civilians. “We’re walking away from Israel’s ability to wage war in those areas,” the president states. He wants to help Israel, but not help them start and go into war.
