On Tuesday, April 17th, the members of the National Honor Society participated in a career day at Roosevelt. The members walked down to the school to give a presentation to the 3rd and 4th graders on their future careers. The younger kids learned more about the members future careers and got to ask them questions about it as well.
The National Honor Society members created a slideshow to present to the Roosevelt students about the careers they want to pursue and how to get there. The NHS members were escorted to classrooms as they did six cycles of presentations in classes. Some of the careers that were talked about were doctor, nurse, speech pathologist, ultrasound tech, marine biologist, industrial engineering, and more! The students got to ask questions and got a better understanding of just a couple of the many careers there are to choose from.
This was an exciting and informative day for both the NHS members and the Roosevelt students!
