The conflict in Ukraine has caused many to lose their homes and lives, but Ukraine has been putting up a fight against invading Russian troops.
Over the course of 6 months, the Ukraine armed forces have been putting up a fight, but due to harsh weather and their military state, it has been hard for other countries to send supplies. At the last EU meeting, the Georgian Ministry of Defense said that they would start to help with military aid, but that’s not enough.
The US has also started to send more weapons and ammo to Ukraine, as Joe Biden issued last week. Other countries have slowly stopped giving weapons and ammo to Ukraine, but the Biden Administration is pushing them to send them.
Right now, the main suppliers to Ukraine are France, the US, Canada, and Germany. Other small suppliers are the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Luxembourg, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium, and Lithuania.
But over the last couple of months, these smaller suppliers have slowly stopped giving Ukraine weapons and ammo- for what purpose, no one knows. But even if Ukraine gets hold of weapons and ammo, it is hard for them to get it to the frontlines where it is really needed. So is Ukraine the problem for not getting the ammo and weapons to the right place, or do its allies have to step up and help some more?
