The Super Bowl: a national football game watched by millions. The Super Bowl is the game that is the final result of a long, hard season. After the regular season, the playoffs start. These are 3 weeks of a football tournament. There is the AFC and NFC, and one team from each can reach the big game. This year it was a vast amount of edge of your seat games, amazing wins, and heartbreaking losses. But the most important game, with the most important moments, is no doubt the Super Bowl.

This year, the Super Bowl was played by the 49ers and the Chiefs. Teams that have some of the biggest stars got a chance to shine. The game started out in the first half as a mainly defensive game. There was very little offense had. The most explosive play was from the 49ers. Kyle Shannahon, the 49ers head coach, had a trick play up his sleeve. The ball was snapped to the QB then given to the WR and then thrown to the RB. Christian Mccafrey took it about 30 yards for a touchdown. The play was something you would only see from a football mastermind. The 49ers were winning at the end of the 1st half but not by much. Everyone was on the edge of their seats to see the second half. But every year the Super Bowl has a half time show. The artist Usher was featured in this year’s halftime show, as well as Alicia Keys. The show had mixed reviews; it was loved by some and hated by some. But overall it was an entertaining show.

When the second half began things were slow. But once it got going, it was classic Patrick Mahomes football. Methodical drives with expertise, skill and accuracy. Both teams scored back and forth in a very close game. Ultimately, the Chiefs sent the game into overtime. The 49ers started with the ball, and, after a hard fought drive, they only got a field goal. At that moment the ball was in the Chiefs court: they score here, they win the Super Bowl. After a drive of smart, well-executed offense, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense scored a touchdown. Mecole Hardman got the game winning touchdown to seal the game. The stadium was simply in awe. 49ers fans were defeated at the sight of this heartbreaking loss. The Chiefs and their fans were screaming in joy at this victory.

As the confetti came down and fireworks went off, the conclusion of this game was a celebration. After a long season the conclusion was not a disappointment. Emotions bursted after the amazing night. Now the offseason begins, and fans must live without football for a while. This may be a boring time, but there are still many things to come. Football is not over just a break. After this amazing season we all look forward to many more.
