Manville High School announced junior Rian Sanders as the January Student of the Month!
Rian Sanders, a junior from the class of 2025, is so glad that his hard work has paid off and been recognized. Realizing how much hard work it takes to be a successful student at the high school and being chosen for this title by some of his favorite teachers inspires him to continue holding a character he can be proud of. School is a very big part of his life where he has plenty of memories, including school concerts, pep rallies with the best hype man, Mr. Caldwell, the connections he is able to make with teachers who truly care about their students outside of just academics, and spending his lunch break with the best of friends.
If asked what his favorite subject is, Rian would tell you, “History has to be the hardest core subject,” which is quite ironic considering that he dreads remembering every major event and dates of the subject. However, any time that he pays attention he finds interest just knowing how much of an impact those events had on today’s society and how long their history has survived and been taught to new generations.
Rian is extremely involved at the school, including being a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and the Spring Track and Field team. Outside of school, Rian enjoys writing music and thinks it would be pretty cool if he would release some songs to the public!
Rian plans on attending a 4-year university, where he would like to take a route in the entertainment industry. Rian couldn’t picture a life without performing, which is why he loves performing for the Drama Club, as well as the Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. Rian dreams of traveling the world and if he is able to do it as a part of career it would be awesome.
Once again, congratulations to Rian Sanders for being selected as January’s Student of the Month for Manville High School!
