Supercars are often characterized by their low ride height, stiff suspensions,
cramped interiors and lack of cargo space. They also tend to be presented as
livable road vehicles. The changes are not drastic, but the idea is that the
comprehensive update of the GT makes it a noticeably better car than the one it

The McLaren 2024 brings the carbon fiber monocoque chassis of the GTS; it is
practically the same as that of the previous model, but it did have a change to the
roof made of recycled carbon. Along with other changes, this makes the vehicle
weigh 22 pounds, making it lighter compared to the previous GTs, the new
model saw an additional increase of 14 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
Dashing to 60 miles per hour should take about three seconds, and while cruise
control is standard, it’s unclear whether it can be set for the claimed top speed of
203 miles per hour. It also comes with a large hatch that opens to 14.8 cubic feet
of cargo space, not to mention excellent visibility.
The interior will be suitable for traveling all day without any discomfort, with new
spacious heated seats, as well as a large, vertical touch screen to adjust the
features, GPS and Wilkins audio system. McLaren is already accepting orders,
and, although it is not mentioned the price, the 2023 GT costed $208,490 before it
came out.
