Alanis is very honored and grateful to have been chosen as Student of the Month by the staff and teachers. Being Student of the Month recognizes all her hard work is being recognized. Alfaro spends a lot of time within the MHS halls between being Vice President for the Class of 2024, the International Club, Spanish Honor Society, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. Being such an accomplished member of our community, she was bound to have plenty of favorite memories, from class competitions, where she would chase people down to participate in events, to organizing and hosting a Volleyball tournament at MHS; the first in a long time. Alanis has enjoyed her time here at MHS creating many memories.
Alanis takes her education very seriously, even stating, “English is my favorite subject because I love to write and read.” She’s involved in rigorous Advanced Placement courses within the English Department, taking classes such as Seminar, Research, English Literature, and English Composition. Besides exploring her passion for the English Department, you can find Alfaro working at American Eagle, lifting at the gym, or hidden away at home reading from her giant book collection.
Alanis is attending a four year university to pursue a political science degree with a concentration in legal studies. With her goal of being a lawyer one day, it is good that she constantly enjoys reading! If you ever have some legal troubles, now you know who to reach out to.
Congratulations to Alanis Alfaro for winning Student of the Month!
