According to the New York Times, the pilot of this dangerous flight said that the
maintenance crew was short of a few people that morning, and the flight engineer was new as
well. He also said that he felt something was off right when the plane took off and it felt light. As
the aircraft was about to reach the end of its flight both the engines stopped working because the
plane ran out of fuel resulting in the engines to fail. Also, the New York Times interviewed some
