The Manville High School girls basketball season has officially started. The girls practiced for two weeks before they played against Belvidere for their home opener. The girls, unfortunately, took a loss, but they still played a very hard game. The week of 1/4, the girls played against North Plainfield and lost by 2. The Mustangs were winning in the first half, as it was back and forth with scoring for both teams in the end. They later played Delaware Valley and Brearley in the week.

Last week, the girls were on the road to see Belvidere, Bound Brook, and Henry Hudson. They took the win against Henry Hudson with the final score being 46-13! This week, the girls played North Plainfield and South Hunterdon. The girls played a very tough game against NP, but they lost by 5 in the end. The girls are excited to play against their opponents for the rest of the season. The girls are very excited to play hard against the next 11 games they have.
