Begining of 2021-22 Boys Basketball Season

The Manville High School Boys Basketball Team, unfortunately, started off the season in quarantine but came back stronger. They had their first game of the season on December 30th, 2021, and beat Somerset Tech 66-35. Their second and third games were back to back on January 5th and the 6th but unfortunately lost both of them. The boys came back fighting on January 8th for their first home game against Brearley and won 60-55, then once again on our home court they won 67-47 against Belvidere on January 11th. On the 13th we lost 48-70 to Pingry but bounced back on the 15th with a score of 55-24 vs. Henry Hudson. We had a close game at South Hunterdon, unfortunately, we lost 48-53. Lastly, on January 20th, Academy for Urban Leadership Charter came to our court and the Manville Mustangs won 48-39.

Like every sports season there have been a few losses but the boys do have more wins than the contrary. Our boys still have 13 games left in this season and I think it’s fair to say that it’ll be a good basketball season for MHS. Their next game is today, 1/21 at Pingry at 4:15 PM, and their next home game is Thursday the 27th vs Morris Tech at 7 PM, be there or be square. You can go support our boys for their senior night next Saturday, January 29th at 11:30 AM against Roselle Park! Go Mustangs!
