Hey Mustangs! Get Fired Up!
November 13, 2020
On October 30th, despite the burdensome times, Manville High School hosted its annual homecoming football game. Unfortunately, the homecoming dance will not take place this year, however, the winners of homecoming king and queen were announced. Congratulations to Justin Chey, a senior at MHS who is also a member of the MHS Marching Mustang Band, concert band, and a variety of clubs and a demanding class schedule, and Megan Shimp, also a senior at MHS, a leader of her class and a very dedicated student and fellow club member.
The Manville High School Marching Mustang Band performed their minute-long halftime show in front of the crowd. The show was created and organized by Band Director Mr. Espineira and his team. The show featured the chorus of Michael Jackson’s Thriller and featured a crowd-shocking solo performance by Color Guard Captain, Kayla Knape. The band additionally performed stand tunes on the sidelines while the Color Guard did flag tricks and dances.
Unfortunately for the Mustangs, the game was a loss against rivals Bound Brook with a final score of 47-20. Nevertheless, the team played hard and is determined, as always, get ‘em next time!
