Mustang Football Roster is Injury Free

Nasir Peek

With the 2019-2020 season coming to an end, the Mustangs are 2-5 with a couple of away games left. The Manville Mustangs (2-5) take on the Metuchen Bulldogs (3-4) this Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at Metuchen home field. The Mustangs look forward to playing the Bulldogs. Manville has been struggling this season due to injuries of their key players including Issaiah Ruiz, Nasir Peek, and Jon Cox. With the Mustang’s entire team healthy, they won 2 games in a row, meaning they are technically 2-0 with everyone back. Going off of this, they hope to achieve a 5-0 run  for the remainder of the season as a team.

Manville’s running back, Nasir Peek had a few words to say going into game week. He says, “We have to get better offensively, defensively and even on special teams. We plan on putting 45+ points on the Bulldogs, but in order to put up 45 points on a Group 1 school, it all starts in practice. I expect our practices to be crisp all week because I am not planning on losing to their program and believe me, I HATE LOSING”

Manville takes on Metuchen this week on Saturday at 12:00 P.M. at Metuchen High School.
