Mustangs Look to Make Mid-Season Turnaround for the Homecoming Game

The 1-5 Manville Mustangs take on the 1-4 Dayton Bulldogs for Friday’s homecoming game. The Mustangs look to carry the momentum from last weeks 28-22 win over Roselle Park into Friday’s game against the Bulldogs.

After a disappointing start, the Mustangs are looking to turn things around for the 2nd half of the season. They are already on their way after an electrifying win over Roselle Park, who the Bulldogs lost to previously in the season with a score of 22-19.

Both the Mustangs and the Bulldogs have one win on the season, but coming off a big win to a common opponent, at home, with a loud student section puts the Mustangs in a perfect position to grab another win before completing their midseason turnaround.

The Bulldogs will no doubt be a tough test for Manville, but the Mustangs are ready and are predicted to win the tough, gritty battle by multiple sources, including My Central Jersey who predicted the Mustangs to win 20-13. According to My Central Jersey, “Manville should have its hands full with the Bulldogs, but between the Mustangs’ home field advantage and the new burst of confidence they got with last weekend’s win, I’m going to take the plunge again once again with the blue and gold.”

A win for the Mustangs on Friday night, October 18 would be huge for them, given that it’s a key factor for their momentum going into the remainder of the season.
