On February 21, 2019 our Lady Mustangs took on Keyport Native Americans on our very home court. For the seniors of class 2019, it was their last home game for their high school career. The Mustangs knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, but they were prepared for the challenge. To start off, in the first quarter, our Lady Mustangs were able to have locked defense, and they held the Native Americans by 3 points. Between both teams and their outstanding defense, they came to a tie by halftime. For both the Lady Mustangs and the Native Americans, the goal was to win the quarter, which will allow them to have a lead on the other team. During the third quarter it was another low scoring quarter, resulting in 16-15, Native Americans up. Our Lady Mustangs got into a huddle and came up with some ideas that could possibly help them in the last quarter. By mid of fourth quarter Mustangs were still down, but they were playing with all their might to make a come back. Unfortunately, the final score resulted in Keyport beating our Lady Mustangs by 6 point, 27-21.
