MHS Goes to the Galapagos in Summer 2021

Michelle Romero

During the summer of 2019, Mrs. Kurzius, an 8th grade science teacher at Manville took a handful of children to the Dominican Republic for Marine conservation. The students were given the opportunity to travel and learn about the culture as well as the ecological problems they showed awareness to. After such success with Manville’s first abroad trip, they are deciding to embark on more!

Mrs. Kurzuis plans to launch another trip abroad in the summer of 2021 to Ecuador as well as the Galapagos Islands. The trip ends up coming out to $3,750 with a $200 discount if registered by March. Mrs. Kurzius chose the Galapagos since it is one of the last places on earth that is virtually untouched which will allow for a once in a lifetime opportunity.
