Manville hosted a powderpuff game on November 6th of 2019. The outcome of one of the games was very surprising. It was an upset for the junior team, but luckily they will have another year to redeem themselves.

The juniors had lost to the freshman that Wednesday night. This was unexpected due to the fact that the upperclassmen usually have the upperhand. In about a decade, the freshman have not beat the juniors at powderpuff.

There were many juniors upset by the score of 12-6 as they came into the game expecting the win. Freshman Jayla Wotjach and Sydney Pfieffer both scored, and Caitlen Brennan was the quarterback that helped them through the game. There was an injury moment where Kami Conover, the previous quarterback for the freshmen, had ran into the opponent and was taken out of the game. She did some stretches in hopes to return to the game, however, it wasn’t enough for her to return back.

For the juniors, Angelina Sanchez scored while Holly Cornelson was their quarterback. Both teams had shown an amazing effort but the juniors couldn’t get past the freshmen. It was an amazing night for everyone and put up a great show.
